Applications are welcomed for an MSc graduate opportunity in applied quantitative ecology at the Wildlife Biology Program, University of Montana (UM).

The focus of this project is developing and refining abundance estimation techniques to help understand the impact of management on large mammal populations in Montana, US.

The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, natural resource professionals, and field technicians to evaluate how animal distribution and behavior affect the estimation of ungulate population size.

  • have a Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, statistics, computer science, or closely related disciplines, and three of the qualifications below;
