Access Bank unveils application for womenpreneur pitch-a-ton Africa season 4

Accessbank wants women to join women-owned companies for the fourth season of the Womenpreneur pitch-a-ton Africa.

In a press conference on Tuesday evening, Mr Abiodun Olubitan, spokesperson for Access Bank Group announced the launch of Access Bank’s new partnership, Pitch-a-Ton Season 4.

This competition is for business entrepreneurs between 18 and 55 and their company is legally licensed and registered in Nigeria.

Pitch-a-ton Africa aims primarily to provide women business owners throughout the continent access to financial services and business training and mentorship.

Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa 2022 for African Female Entrepreneurs

The program was launched in the year 2019. Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa was the first support program for women in business that was of this kind that was offered through the Access Bank W Initiative.

The inaugural edition awarded financial grants of N9Million to the top five applicants and a mini MBA certificate for 50 female entrepreneurs from Nigeria.

It was done in collaboration together with International Finance Corporation (IFC, which is a member of the World Bank Group).

This year the program will be extended to six other African countries in which the Access Bank’s W Initiative is in its presence.

The countries include Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia, Sierra-Leone, Gambia and Congo so the program’s tagline is “Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton” Africa

As a major commercial banking institution with a strong reputation in Nigeria, Access Bank has made substantial investments in increasing growth in the Small and Medium Size Enterprise sector. It is a major advocate for women in business.

Bank is also a strong advocate for women entrepreneurs by offering innovative products such as that of the Power Loan which is a loan with a discount with a rate of 15% per annum for women who want to expand their businesses and different Business Support Services.

Aim and Benefits of Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa

In order to fulfill the requirements for graduation, the fifty finalists will present their business ideas, incorporating lessons from the mini-MBA.

They will be eligible to receive financial grants of up to N5 million.
