WAEC Exam Starts Today

THE 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates conducted by the National Examinations Council (WAEC) would commence on Monday, 27th June, 2023, the National Examination Council (WAEC), said.

Spokesperson of WAEC, Mr Azeez Sani, in a statement on Saturday said state Ministries of Education, principals, commandants and all stakeholders should disregard any speculation on the alleged postponement of the examination.

Sani assured the candidates that the Council has put all necessary measures in place to ensure a seamless conduct of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination.

He added that the 2023 WAEC Senior School Certificate Examination would end on Friday, 12th August, 2023.

According to him, candidates are to be examined in 76 Subjects during the examination.

3. In the form, you have the option of choosing your preferred university (first option) and an alternate choice (second option). You are allowed to make up to six choices

WAEC fees and payment schedule

The WAEC fees is between #18,000 to #50,0000

The total WAEC fees payable to WAEC is between N168,000 and N258,000. The disparity exists depending on your chosen study center.

However, the standard fee at our Ilorin center is N168,000 only. It covers everything for the duration of the program. It is broken down as follows

Registration Form: 8000
School Fees: 110,000
Hostel accommodation: 35,000
Textbooks and other materials: 15,000 (this includes lab coats for science students)

Note that when you pay for the registration form, you automatically get a link to download the WAEC syllabus. The syllabus should be a constant companion for the duration of the program.

It contains everything you need to know about areas of study and what is expected of you at the examination proper. Make sure you refer to it regularly during your time as an WAEC student.

Payment Schedule

At WAEC, we have made the payment of fees as painless as possible for those who can’t pay the whole fees at once.

You can pay the fees in three installments if this is your preferred payment option.

The first installment is 50% of your centre fee according to what is stated on WAEC centres and their Fees

The balance of N80,000 can be paid in two installments. Have a discussion with the study center coordinator to agree on a mutually acceptable schedule for the payment of this balance.
