Not too good news for a Nigerian student on the adventure of furthering his education outside of the shores of the country.
According to reports, a scholarship student furthering his academics at the citadel of learning the Irkutsk State Medical University, Russia is on the verge of getting deported back to his homeland by the country’s immigration over failure on the path of the Sokoto state government to cater for his scholarship fees.
The student who hails from Sokoto state and also happens to be an indigene of that particular state goes by the name Yahaya, with an impressive CGPA of 5.2.
He has been kept under lock and keys for the past three weeks by the authorities and management of the institute over the failure of the Sokoto state government to come to terms in settlement of his scholarship fees and presently faces the risks of getting expelled on one hand and deported on the other pending a court appearance.

According to reports reaching us right about this moment, the student was one of the Beneficiaries of the Best African Medical Student award at the Russian Centre for Scientific Research.
As of the beginning of this week, he had already graced their invitation with his appearance twice at a Russian State court before proceeding to the Russian immigration office to sign a deportation form.
