The Scholarships Scheme is designed for academic excellence and the development of skills among young Nigerians in their communities and the Scholarship Scheme aims at improving the academic and technical education of the youth in Delta State.

Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited is the operator of the Umusadege Field, OML 56, Delta State. Its JV Partner SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited is also an operator.

Qualifications for Midwestern Oil and Gas JV University Scholarships

UNIVERSITY COMPMUNITY AWARD- Only for Host Communities

  • At the time of applying, scholarship is available to students at 100 and 200 levels.
  • In one sitting, you must complete at least 5 credits in SSCE/GCE, including mathematics & English.
  • JAMB/UTME & University Admission Letter from an Accredited/Approved University in Nigeria
  • Current University ID Card
  • The Ward Councilor (or CACC) has signed the identification letter.

UNIVERSITY MERIT AWARD – For Delta State Indigenes Only

  • Students at 200-level must have a minimum CGPA 3.5 when applying for scholarship.
  • In one sitting, you must complete at least 5 credits in SSCE/GCE including mathematics & English.
  • JAMB/UTME & University Admission Letter from an Accredited/Approved University in Nigeria
  • Current University ID Card
  • Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPA) for his/her first year at the University (3.5 or higher).
  • LGA will issue a letter of identification.

How to Apply for Midwestern Oil and Gas JV University Scholarships

In other to apply, applicants must;

  • Each applicant must have a personal email address and a phone number.
  • Applications by eligible candidates should be submitted online at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/Midwestern
  • Candidate should provide personal and educational information in their application.
  • Applicants should upload scanned copies of the documents as stated under Eligibility/Requirement aas well as a recent passport size photograph.

Follow these steps to apply:

    2. To create an account, click on “Register Now”.
    3. To activate your account

    5. To upload your information, enter your registered email address and password.
    6. Fill in your personal information and the National Identification Number (if applicable), as well as other details, and then upload any required scanned documents.
    7. Make sure the name you use in applications matches that on all documentation. If necessary, upload a certified or sworn affidavit.
    8. To ensure accuracy and clarity, make sure you review all files after they have been uploaded.
    9. Upload a passport photo with a white background when asked to upload photos.
    10. To avoid errors

  • Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
  • Fill in the fields required by clicking “Create an Account”
  • To complete the form, log in with your email and password
  • Schedule a time for finger and photo capture after completion
  • Visit any of the 37 capture centres www.nimc.gov.ng/pages/general/enrolmentcentres.htm to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
  • You can also complete your total registration at NIMC office
  1. 16. Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/Midwestern and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion
