The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results from the 2022 unification exam that was just completed. Tertiary Matriculation Exam.
The body that conducted the examination that also laid out how to examine the results, announced this in a statement issued by the Head of Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin on Saturday, in Abuja.
The information made available to The Punch reads: “To check the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result All a person has to do is text UTMERESULT 55019 to the same number the candidate registered with and the result will be delivered via text message.
“This is the sole method for checking on the 2022 UTME results as of now since the Board hasn’t uploaded the results on its website due to obvious reasons.
“In In addition to this, candidates are informed that they could typically receive various warnings from scammers desperate to make a profit about how to verify their results differing from the one mentioned. Therefore the Board recommends that all candidates not respond to any messages about how to examine their UTME results for 2022 since they’re all part of fraud aimed at deceiving candidates.
“The Board, in line with its intention to conform to the easy-to-use business protocols of the government, has incorporated this simple and user-friendly method of evaluating UTME results.
In addition, this streamlined process could also stop the unconscionable abuse of potential candidates by shady cybercafes and business centers, which frequently profit from unlucky applicants.
“The 2022 UTME began on Friday, 6th May, 2022 and ended on Friday 13th May, 2022.”

Headof Director, Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, said the following in a press release on Saturday.
The board instructed applicants to forward their UTMERESULT results to 55019 with the same number that was used to register.
The announcement is: “To check the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results the only thing a student needs to do is text UTMERESULT to 55019 by using the same number was used to register and the results will be sent via text message. This is the only method to check results for the 2022 UTME results as of now since the Board is not putting it up on its website due to evident reasons.
“In the meantime to this, candidates are informed that they could be receiving numerous emails from fraudsters desperate for money about how to determine if their scores are differing from the one mentioned. Therefore the Board advises all candidates to avoid any message about how to examine their UTME results for 2022 because they are all a product of deceit designed to deceive candidates.
“The Board, in line with its intention to conform to the easy-to-do business protocols of the federal government, has incorporated this simple and user-friendly method of evaluating UTME results.
“Furthermore, this simplified process would also serve to preclude the unconscionable exploitation of candidates by shylock business centres and cyber cafes which often take advantage of hapless candidates.”
