IJMB Registration 2026 Full Details
The IJMB 2026 registration is set to commence officially on October 2nd, 2025, and end on January 31st, 2026. The entrance exam for the year will commence on April 15th and end on April 19th, 2026.
The lectures are expected to commence on May 15th, 2026 till June 2027 before the exam takes place.

Brief History of IJMB
IJMB which means Interim Joint Matriculation Board, is advanced level program (A’level) which sees successful students gain admission into Nigerian university with the result in combination with Direct Entry form.
IJMB is a one year program being moderated, supervised and headed by Ahmadu Bello University since 1974and is recognized widely and known to all reputable universities in Nigeria.
Some of the universities that accepts IJMB are Ahmadu Bello University, Unilorin, University of Port Harcourt (Uniport), University of Nigeria (UNN), University of Benin (UNIBEN) University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) all private universities, 96% of federal universities, 98% of state universities.
Applicants can can do the program in any of the accredited centres nationwide and use the result to apply to any university of their choice after the program.
IJMB 2026 Admission Requirements
The main requirement is a minimum of 5 credits in the most important subjects, including English and mathematics. Those with awaiting results can also apply while they update their results in the portal once their results is out.
The registration fee is #10,500, and for the IJMB tuition fee, it can be paid in installments up to 3 times. See the IJMB available centres and their fees
How To Apply For IJMB Registration 2026/2027
To apply for the IJMB 2026/2027 academic session, candidates are to visit the IJMB Registration Portal to make payment and create profile.
After payment confirmation, profile will be activated for the applicants to fill the parent/guaridan form and other previous academic records.
After the successful application, students will receive their centre details in the form of provision admission details, of which they are expected to pay their acceptance fee within two weeks of registration.
IJMB 2026 Entrance Exam
The entrance exam is non-compulsory and non-binding, but it will be done online on the portal by the interested candidates on the 15th of April till 19th of April.
The entrance will cover general subjects, including mathematics and English, to assess the preparedness of the applicants.
IJMB Registration 2026 Resumption
The 2026 IJMB academic session resumption will be from May 2nd, 2026, across all centres, and students will continue to have the opportunity to resume until July. This gives those who want to sit for their O-level examination and GCE to do so without having to forfeit their IJMB dream.
