Grooming Centre is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in December 2006, and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Certificate Number CAC/IT/NO 24198.They exist to help mitigate financial challenges faced by institutions, small traders,poor people and micro productive activities in many parts of Nigeria
The sole aim of the grant is to finance development research and knowledge development in the areas of microfinance, rural development, inclusive finance, social enterprise, and MSME .

Who are to Benefit this grantÂ
50 Post graduates and 100 undergraduate students will benefit from this grant.The grant will be awarded based on student research work.The research study should covers any of such areas as financial inclusion, microfinance, rural development, social enterprise, MSMEs, technological development, women in development or any other research that is aimed at lifting people out of poverty
Qualification Requirements
Interested applicants must be either a student at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in any Nigerian tertiary institution.The student’s research study must covers any of such areas as financial inclusion, microfinance, rural development, social enterprise, MSMEs, technological development, women in development or human capacity development in rural and urban areas.
Academic Requirements
- Interested applicants must be a student at an NUC/ NBTE approved Nigeria university or polytechnic.
- The applicant must submit a written and signed recommendation from his/her project supervisor.
- Applicants must provide any evidence of undergoing such research work.
Submission Process
The applicant must submit a research concept of between 10-15 pages that should include an introduction, literature review, research methodology including references and a page of the candidate’s personal profile. The candidate will also submit a final soft copy of the research project on completion of the study.
