Ghent University Association’s Africa Platform (GAP) is accepting applications for guest fellows. GAP, one of Ghent University’s five regional platforms, supports and develops academic partnership between Ghent University Group and educational institutions throughout Africa. There are five research fellows that come to the Africa Platform each year. Applicants will be required to spend at least 2 weeks at Ghent University or maybe one of the university’s affiliated institutions.

Ghent University Fellowships 2022: Aim and Benefits

The fellowships are awarded in the form of a grant of one thousand Euros (€1000) and one round-trip plane ticket, with a minimum stay requirement of two weeks. This money is intended to cover (or contribute towards covering) the costs of travel, housing, and living expenses. This implies that in many circumstances, more cash will be required. As a Ghent University visiting scholar, the visiting scholars will be provided an office and access to the university’s resources (such as the library).

How To Apply For Ghent University Fellowships 2022

The following parts are included in the application form, which must be submitted in either English or French:
• Information about the individual;
• Ghent’s research group you’d want to work with, the length of your stay, and a rationale for why your present and future research at your home institution would benefit from a research stay at Ghent are all included in a cover letter.
• An outline of the research aims, techniques and tools, as well as a work plan for the next visit, as well as prospective long-term collaborations;
• A budget plan;
• Your top three publications (optional);
• Both of your signatures, as well as the promotor’s signature from Ghent University. If you are applying to Ghent University, you must already have a Ghent promotor.
