The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it has extended the Direct Entry Registration Deadline for 2023.
The new deadline, which was previously set to end on April 21st, has now been pushed by one week to Friday
28 April 2023.
This move has come as a welcome relief for prospective candidates, who will now have more time to complete their registration process.
With the extension of the deadline, JAMB has demonstrated its commitment to making the registration process easier and more accessible for all students.
About The JAMB 2023 Extension For Direct Entry Registration
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) extension for the DE candidates is to give holders of Cambridge A/Level Certificates the opportunity to register.
The British Council is partnering with the Board to provide a verification portal for the Cambridge Certificates. Candidates awaiting Cambridge Certificates will not be accepted.
According to JAMB spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, “It should be noted that in its bid to ensure that the Cambridge A/L Certificate is onboarded in the verification process, the British Council is partnering with the Board and, as such, would be providing a verification portal for the seamless verification of its Cambridge Certificates as obtains with other categories of A/Level certificates.”
The board has made it mandatory for all prospective DE candidates to obtain their scratch cards from accredited CBT centers so as to access their personal profiles on the JAMB portal for registration purposes.
How much is DE Form 2023?
The DE Form 2023 registration fee is available for the price of 3,500 Naira only. This fee applies to both local and foreign candidates who wish to apply for the JAMB Direct Entry Programme.
Payment can be made through the JAMB E-Pin voucher or using ATM Cards. Once payment has been made, applicants will receive a Confirmation Order (e-Slip) to complete the registration process.
The fee is non-refundable and must be paid before the registration deadline, which has now been extended to April 28, 2023. After payment has been made, applicants will have access to their DE registration form, which they must fill out completely before submitting it to the JAMB office for verification.
It is important to note that applicants must submit their applications before the deadline or they should prepare to bare the risk of having their applications rejected. F
