AHRN Shelter City Benin 2022

Africa Human Rights Network (AHRN Foundation) in collaboration together with Fondation Defenseurs D’Afrique (FDDA) is launching the first phase of a five-year program of temporary relocation for vulnerable human rights activists.

The selected candidate will reside in Benin for three months. Application deadline is on August 15, 2022.

The phrase HRD is meant to describe the wide spectrum of journalists, activists writers, scholars as well as artists, political figures as well as lawyers and civil rights defenders professional journalists, independent civil society activists and other individuals who work to improve democratic rights and human rights around the globe in a peaceful way.

Shelter City Benin is a shelter for the HRD. Shelter City Benin gives the HRD the opportunity to stay in refuge for three months, where they can refresh, recharge, acquire new abilities, broaden their networks, and educate about the state of affairs in their own country.

When the program, the participants will come back with new skills and energy to complete their duties at home.

Shelter City Benin Shelter City Benin provides the HRD the opportunity to stay in a refugee camp for three months where they can relax, re-energize, learn new skills, broaden their networks, and educate of the current situation in their own country.

After the program, the participants will be back with new tools and energy to continue their tasks at home.

The phrase HRD is meant to describe the vast spectrum of journalists, activists as well as writers, scholars and political figures and civil rights defenders, lawyers and independent media professionals civil society activists and others who are working to promote the cause of human rights and democracy throughout the globe in a non-violent way.
